Birdsong is in Vermont, 10 km from the centre of the popular coastal town of Hermanus.
In a quiet cul-de-sac, the house sits at the edge of a green belt, on the shores of a lake that teems with birdlife.

The milkwood trees behind the house create shade making this the perfect place to have that al fresco lunch on a warm summer's day.

However, if you are wanting to barbeque in the day or evening then the front verandah is where the sun will find you and from where you can watch the mountains changing colour as the sun sets and birds fly in to find their resting spots for the night.
