NEWLANDS COTTAGE - CLAIRE can sleep 4 guests in two bedrooms. It is free standing, self-catering, and has secure parking for one sedan car next to the cottage.
Two spacious double bedrooms have superior quality beds, either single or king-size. Bed linen is 100% percale cotton. Down duvets, extra blankets for icy winters and extra flat sheets for hot summer nights are provided. Main bedroom has en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Second bathroom has shower only.
An open-plan, comfortable, well-equipped TV/dining/kitchen area leads to an enclosed private patio with barbecue/braai facilities and outside table and chairs. A gate leads to the courtyard pool area and laundry facilities. There is also a wood-fire oven for the cold wet winters in Newlands and roof fans for the few very hot days in summer.
The cottage is decorated in the Annie Sloan “Shabby Chic” style with distressed painted furniture. This style enhances the restored, authentic feel of the cottage. Original doors have all been restored. Light fittings where possible are original, as are the floors.
All cottages have braai/barbecue facilities with portable braai/barbecue and outside table and chairs. They share a small heated pool which is available for guests between 10am and 5pm. The courtyard garden has been designed with great care to ensure privacy for each group and easy access to all facilities. All three cottages have a full alarm system with easy remote control access.
The attractive front garden has an authentic water feature, old rose trees, oak trees and a covered patio where guests may sit and enjoy the unique Newlands atmosphere.
All cottages are strictly non-smoking.
